at Metro51 Fitness
Policies & Tuition
The Martial Arts prorgram at Metro51 is comitted to training up strong, empowered and happy students. We have a very open communication policy, so save our email address to your address book! The following is important policies and such about our martial arts classes at Metro51 Fitness. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
1) WHEN CAN I JOIN? Our classes run all year long, so come join anytime! We recommend starting as soon as a new class is added to the schedule since classes often fill up quickly. If you know you'd like to join but need to start a little later, email us and we can save you a spot in the program.
2) DO I NEED TO HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE? No! Come as you are. Often times beginners are actually the best student since they don't have to "unlearn" anything. We will teach to each student individually, so you won't have to worry about being at any certain level when you walk in the door.
3) WHAT DO I WEAR? Great question! There are various uniforms for each of the programs. The taekwondo classes (mommy & me, preschool and homeschool) wear traditional taekwondo uniforms. This includes a long sleeve top, pants and white belt. >>The Ladies Self-Defense class attendees can wear yoga type attire- comfortable pants and a comfortable shirt. You want to be able to move around freely and also not be too warm. >>For Strong Girls Club, girls are asked to wear yoga type pants or shorts and then are requried to wear our Strong Girls Club pink t-shirt. Both the taekwondo uniform and Strong Girls Club tee can be purchased at enrollment. No shoes are worn for any of our classes, however if you feel uncomfortable or have an injury, adults are permitted to wear socks.
4) CAN I BRING A FRIEND WITH ME? We love when our students bring friends to class! All students get their first class free, so feel free to bring any new students to try a class. After their first class, we will show them all of the program details and they will have the chance to enroll. Unfortunately you cannot bring a friend to class continuously with you for free. *Ladies Night Class- Bring a friend and receive a pass for a free CrossFit, circuit training or kickboxing class!
5) HOW DO I TRY A FREE CLASS? We invite all students to come try a free class. After your first class, we will go over the program details with you and talk about enrollment so you can begin your martial arts journey. There are often great deals and specials going on, so be sure to ask about the current special when you attend your trial class! To schedule your first class, click here.
6) WHAT PAPERWORK DO I NEED TO FILL OUT? Upon enrolling, you'll need to fill out a traditional membership form. You'll get to choose a month-to-month, 6-month or 12-month option. Parents of minors will be required to fill out a youth waiver before the student can step onto the mats. Please allow 10 minutes before or after class to do this.
